PHRYDAY
Wasup Wasup!
It's been a minute since I've updated... unfortunately my computer is out of commission right now... "someone" spilled water on my keyboard... it's okay we still love you! haha
So I'm using Chad's computer right now updating my bloggie.
here we go!

First off, our homeboy SHING02 stopped by the Los Angeles oFFice this week. He just came back from a 33day tour all across Japan. I've known Shingo for about 10 years now, he actually hooked me up with my first design gig with Maryjoy Recordings. You can see some of my work we've done together here.

I found a couple japanese magazines which features Shing02 and my artwork. This one is a LRG ad we did a couple years back.

Shing0's new album : Y-Kyoku

He held the number one spot on itunes for best hiphop album. He's still top ten in this month's itunes chart all across the board. Even got love in the "oricon" (sorta like Billboard's top 25 in the states) in Japan. It was worth the 6 years of hard work for this new album!! good job buddy

Another surprise guest: CB from HESHDAWGZ.

We all then went to go eat at California Chicken Cafe.

Shing0 hiding his delicious meal... lemme see lemme see

OOooohhh yea...

Chad's brocolli pasta... mmm
aaaand a lil winter preview:

Oh what?

OOoohhh worrrd??
word
back to bloggie:

Stopped by Chinatown to say wasup to Ray from Lions Den. His new spot is illin!!There are so many awesome shops and munchie shops in Chinatown.

Another dope lil shop : Flock Shop!

Right above the Flock Shop is the Ooga Booga shop. So many dope zines!! check it!

Aaaand I end off with Welcome Hunters. So fresh and so clean.
so, what's everyone up to this weekend??
party?
haha hit me up
peace

TUESDAYO
SUP SUP! Hope everyone had a good Labor day weekend!
Now it's Tuesday and back at the oFFice.
Gotta make more moves and money!
some pics from the weekend:

Some articles on my desk.

Mousa stopped by the oFFice on Saturday. He's a rising star in the movie scene, you can catch him on movies like Zohan and Super Bad. He's also gonna be in some upcoming movies such as Fast and Furious 3 and The Day the Earth Stood Still... shweet..

Anyways Mousa came to photograph some Foreign Family product. He wants to intertwine his photographs with a twist of Foreign Family graphics on top. You will see the end result coming soon.

In the cut...

Since Tommy left for Japan, Chad and I had to be the models for the day... I'll stick with drawing...

Another look at our stadium jacket, a collaboration between FF, Flip the Script, and Selector.

Johnny Punishment and Mousa collaborating on some ideas.

We also got to catch up with our Poland friends Jakub and Pawel. Two awesome dudes! Come back soon!

Chad and John enjoying an evening of clubbing... where are the ladies?
FOOD BREAK

Some Santouka Ramen at the Mitsuwa Plaza in West LA.

My favorite, ikura bowls... mmmm

The Hundreds Block Party!

More flicks... Good job you guys!
Peace

Sup Sup!
Everyone ready for the weekend? What's everyone gonna do?
I'm probably gonna chill, it's been a long week! Who wants to chill?!
anyways, here are some more flics from Vegas. Check it!

Let's start off with some hors d'oeuvres from the Ludwig showroom at the Venetian. It's true when they say it's all about presentation... even if it's Macdonald's cheeseburgers... they were awesome!!

Vegas is about parties, girls, drugs, alcohol, gambling, and a little bit of schmoozing with clients.

The after hours party was held at the cafe at Sahara's... hahah!!

Okay back to the show! Here's Johnny Punishment posing next to Rampage Jackson. Dude is a serious beast... Johnny's a beast but he looked like cinderella standing next to Rampage.

The good boys of 3Sixteen showing their stuff at the POOL show. Always good to see these guys. Hey Johan, I'm gonna come into El Mercado and squash the beef with Ian. Give him a hug for me.

Our boy DJ Tono spinning at Central Hall. I've known dude since junior high, he's now officially a sushi chef and can serve you up some awesome rolls and nigiri!

Chaddypooh playing Street Fighter 4 at Triumvir's booth. I haven't played video games in a minute but this one seemed pretty awesome. Good work on the collabo fellas.

Daniel and Eddie from Fast Eddie's Garage!

Dana and DJ Eleven strike a pose.

E-rock from Ek5obition clothing.
Okay food break.

Went to go eat some Chinese food with our good buddies from H2O Lab Inc. Some serious Chinese food.

The food was awesome! Thanks Sam! Thanks Vicky! Look at Chad enjoying his food.

Uh... woa

This is deep fried frog legs. Sam ordered it last just so we can all taste what it tasted like... it tastes like tender chicken with the texture of grilled scallops... who's hungry?? hahahah I only could nibble at this...

phew... so much food!!

Back to the show again. Japes from Greater Than Clothing. So dope.

Cody Loco from Green Apple Tree talking some business with the Family. This man is having his first art showing at our Five Five Four Gallery in October... sooooo excited for it! BAUS!!

Gustavo from Millennium Shoes. He'll show you how to rock diamond SB's and a nice black/teal coi shirt.

A sneak peak of Triumvir's 44 hat. I believe it's the 44 Special... or it can mean 44 Sucks...hahahaha! either way, save me a cap!

The good boyz of Digital Gravel!!

MaMa Clothing in the house!! Always so cute!!

They were giving out nail filers! shweeeeeeeet.

Alright guys, pack up!!

The ride home.

'Til next time!!
peace

LIONS DEN
So the homie Ray from Lions Den is having his new store location grand opening this Saturday the 23rd.
If you're lucky, you might recieve one of our limited Lions Den X Foreign Family collabos! I did a hand-drawn piece for Lions Den's well known neon sign: "Money, Power, Respect". I flipped those chinese characters with a twist of graffiti style "throw-up" letterings. Here is what Ray has to say about those specific words:
"When we first opened the store we thought it would be interesting to highlight the intersection of cultures. It’s just a play on when athletes and rap stars who get asian character tattoos that look good, but are mistranslated. We wanted to take that to the extreme and just translate Americana/rap lyrics that made no sense whatsoever in Chinese. We took the song Money, Power, Respect from the Lox and translated it into Chinese. I think the Lox got the saying from Scarface which makes it kind of better. The phrase is kind of the epitome of rap ideology translated into Chinese."
Here is the flyer for the opening. See you there!!
